Information about the Aries Natural Park
the park area is a Site of Community Interest (S.I.C.) code ITA 050011 and part of a Special Protection Area (Z.P.S.) called ITA 050012. The legend of the Giant Manfrino tells that in the serene and silent nights the echo of Manfrino resounds
calling for his beloved; the good giant also appears to pure souls

The hiking trail of the "Aries Park" is about 200 m. and can be easily covered in 4 minutes, Leaving the Tower Gate, reach the Tower of Manfria and from there follow the indicated path until you reach the rock ((Eco)) of Manfrino to enjoy a breathtaking view and listen the Eco of Manfrino

Aries' Natural Park
The Aries natural park area is part of a Site of Community Interest (S.I.C.) with code ITA 050011 and part of a Special Protection Area (Z.P.S.) designated as ITA 050012.
The area is part of the Aries srl complex and is a trail reserved for resort guests.
- The hiking trail called ((ECO)) of Manfrino, connected to the legend of the Giant Manfrino, can be walked in about 4 minutes along a path of about 200 m, starting right after the Manfria Tower.
- Exiting the Tower Gate, reach the Manfria Tower, then follow the indicated path until you reach the sign "Aries Park – Hiking Trail" and from there continue to the ((Eco)) rock of Manfrino, where you can enjoy a breathtaking view and hear the Echo of Manfrino.
- The legend of the Giant Manfrino tells that, on stormy winter nights, the Echo of the Giant Manfrino can still be heard as he calls out to his beloved; the good giant also appears to pure souls.

The legend of Manfrino Giant and ((Echos)) of Manfrino spot
On the hill of the Aries park, right on the hill overlooking the entire Gulf of Gela, there is the ancient Tower of Manfria where lived a man so good and so great that he was called the Giant or Manfrino. With him lived a sister so beautiful and shining that for confidentiality she never left her land and no one knew her name and therefore they called her the "beautiful Castellana". Under the Tower extended to Falconara a vast field of centuries-old trees, palms, fruits, streams of crystal clear water and flowers that Manfrino wanted to cultivate for his sister.
One day Manfrino galloped with his horse all over the field and noticed in the distance a beautiful graceful woman with thick blond hair and fell madly in love with her. He spurred his horse to reach her but when he was about to get closer and closer, the woman vanished as if by magic.
From that desperate race the imprint of his horse's hoof remained as a memory, From that day the Manfrino had no peace and galloped on the fields in the hope of being able to see her again, but in vain. At night he could no longer sleep at the thought of her and wrote letters and poems in the moonlight under her Tower, at her beloved vision.
The Castellana, seeing her brother yearning for love, decided to give a big party to bring the beautiful girl back and be able to meet her with her brother. The party was attended by nobles and princes from all over Sicily and suddenly that beautiful girl entered stealthily. Since the Tower with its estate was coveted by all the nobles who, for fear of being easily defeated by Manfrino, had always given up taking possession of it before then, that evening, since Manfrino was distracted by the girl, they took the opportunity to ally themselves and organize a plot against him.
The Manfrino came out of the Tower to chase and be able to reveal his love for the woman. She stopped walking and plunged into the waters of the open sea and did not stop until she was completely submerged. The Manfrino tried to follow her into the sea and save her but a voice of help rose in the air that paralyzed him and prevented him from saving her.
Meanwhile, some princes barred the door of the Tower, killed the guests and the Castellana. Finally they went to the beach where they saw Manfrino motionless and killed him. Even today, in the serene and silent nights, the echo of Manfrino echoes with those cries for help
